Heart On My Sleeve Coffee Cozy
This is it! This is the last of the three cozies in the Valentine’s Day series! I really wanted to make this last cozy stand out and I wanted to do something new, something I had never done before. I had always wanted to try my hand at surface crocheting and so I decided to incorporate that into this cozy. The cozy itself is very basic and can be made to use by itself (think color changes to spice it up) or made to add an applique to (like in my Be My Bow Coffee Cozy pattern). I love how I was able to spice up the basic pattern with the surface crochet and I was pretty stunned at how easy it was to do!

Surface Crochet Border & Heart
To create the border, I made a slip knot on the underside of the cozy and started my series of slip stitches in the 1st and last rows of the cozy.
To create the heart, I started my series of slip stitches in between Rows 3 and 4 giving about a 2 row space between the border on each end. My heart isn’t perfect as I just free-handed it, but I think that adds to the uniqueness of it.

Lovely Pattern. It will be a very good Valentine’s Day gift 🙂 Thank you.
Thank you! It would be great for Valentine’s Day! Maybe put it around a reusable coffee cup filled with some chocolates or other goodies? Now, that’s a gift I would love to get!
